Can it connect to our point of sale system?

The MVP reads sales from your POS through its API. That covers the common hosted tills and it covers something built for you years ago. Where there is no API we look at what it can export before proposing anything.

Do we need to buy scanning hardware?

Not for a trial. A phone camera and a vision model read codes off a box well enough to prove whether the approach works. Dedicated scanners are faster at volume, and that is a decision worth making after the MVP rather than before it.

How do we get from MVP to full system?

The forecasting logic and the API wrappers are written to production standard from the outset. You widen the catalogue and add features. The dashboard is the part most likely to be rebuilt, and it is the cheapest part to redo.

What is a retail inventory management prototype for?

It answers one question, which is whether forecasting on your own data beats the way you buy now. It is deliberately not a replacement system. It runs beside what you have. That is what makes the comparison honest.

Does AI stock prediction development work on a small catalogue?

It works better on a slow catalogue than people expect, because lead times matter more than volume. What it needs is history rather than scale. A year of sales on a few hundred lines is usually enough to test the idea.

Is a custom ERP MVP cheaper than buying a system?

For a trial, yes, because the scope is one slice rather than the whole company. That is the wrong comparison though. The MVP tells you whether the forecasting earns its keep, and then buying or building is a decision with evidence behind it.
